Dog park corpus christi

Dump trucks, and even a fire truck, were needed to remove a dog from an animal park Corpus Christi that is owned by a man accused of murdering a neighbor. The Corpus Christi Police Department was contacted by a woman in the 600 block of W.A.G. White Road on Sunday, Jan. 19, regarding a dog that had gotten loose from her yard in the 600 block of W.A.G. White Road and entered the adjacent animal park. After investigation, it was determined the animal, a pit bull, was in the animal park at the time of the call. The man responsible for the animal park told police the dog had escaped during a large rain storm on Jan. 18 and had since been found inside of the park. He told police the park has no fencing, the dog is unsupervised and no employees are on-site at the park, so there is no way the dog could be kept inside of the park. The owner of the dog was subsequently identified as Christopher L. Gist, 26, of Corpus Christi, who was taken to the Nueces County Jail. Gist was booked on a misdemeanor offense of having an animal at large. He was released from jail Sunday, Jan. 19, after posting a $500 bond.
